Movie classics are back on the big screen, looking better than ever and audiences are returning to the cinema to see them.
Sydney’s most iconic cinema, The Hayden Orpheum is pleased to announce the launch of their program, “Cinema Classics In Digital” composed of some of the most spectacular films of the 20th century from Spielberg blockbusters to the classic musicals, there is something for everyone.
Built in 1935 and restored and reopened in 1987, The Hayden Orpheum is the perfect place to experience the resurgence of film going as an art form. “For anyone who remembers the glorious days of 70mm these are reasons to rejoice”, says Paul Dravet, General Manager of Hayden Orpheum. “Repertory cinemas around the world that were closing in droves at the outset of video and then DVD are back in vogue as people of all ages get back together in the communal atmosphere of cinemas to enjoy movie titles in their rightful place”.
